Rana Mafee, MD, ABoIM
Director of Preventive Neurology
What if your brain didn't have to age?
It's a question Dr. Mafee has devoted her 15+ year medical career to answering. She is passionate about investigating and treating the underlying causes of neurodegenerative diseases, which are some of the most complex ones known to modern medicine.
Dr. Mafee is dual board-certified in neurology and integrative medicine. This gives her not only a deep understanding of the brain and central nervous system, but also a broad understanding of how it links to all other major body systems.
Dr. Mafee graduated from Rush University Medical College. She completed her Residency at the University of Iowa and a Fellowship from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and her functional medicine training with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
Dr. Mafee has codified her training and clinical experience into her SHARP Mind program - a comprehensive approach to combatting, preventing and even potentially reversing some of the effects of cognitive decline.
Dr. Mafee has contributed her expertise to several publications including Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Parade magazines. She has spoken extensively on podcasts such as Tick Chicks and the Lindsey Elmore Show.
In addition, Dr. Mafee works closely with the rest of the Case Integrative Health team to unravel the neurological elements to other chronic diseases, such as auto-immune disorders or chronic infections.
Beginning in January 2022, Dr. Mafee will be on sabbatical.
