Chronic Infections

You are what you eat, so what's eating you?

Conventional medicine focuses on an infection’s acute phase.  Vaccines, prescriptions and hospital treatments are all directed at reducing the initial surge in pathogens.

But what happens if the virus / bacteria / parasite isn’t fully eliminated?  Left untreated, this low-grade persistence can wreak havoc on your system – causing complications from migraines and mood disorders to Alzheimer’s and auto-immune disease.

Part of the initial visit at Case Integrative Health will check for these unwanted guests to see if a latent infection may explain the unexplainable symptoms.

Sample Treatment Plan

Fixing chronic pain requires an individualized approach to therapies coupled with treatment protocols.
  1. Start with a comprehensive medical review (60-90 minutes).  Uncovering a chronic infection takes time and some digging!

  2. Integrative lab panels will check for a host of underlying infections..

  3. Bring in the calvary!  Prescriptions, medications or IV therapy (pharmaceutical or herbal) are usually required to attack the pathogen.

  4. Supplementation and dietary guidance will help you build an immune system to fend off future waves of pathogen.

  5. Follow-up visits / testing will confirm that you’ve rid yourself of the infection.
